An Unexpected Mission

My daughter and I had a great new blog idea.

We are horse people at heart, and she and her sister had decided that we should dive in head first back into a world of all things horsey.

Problem: our horse is TEN years old and green-broke would be a generous description of her education. For all people non-horsey, this mean she is barely trained to do anything.

Idea: Mission impossible. We are going to take what we have and make the most of it. This “green” and “old” horse is going to learn to play. Peter Pan style!

Awesome blog idea! We would photograph and write about all of our falls and bites and kicks and problems and tears and then finally about how much we love her anyway, because she was family from the start.

New problem…
This horse is so smart and sweet and eager to play, that mission impossible is now almost mission accomplished. This horse responded to all of our trips out the barn with a sigh of relief and an attitude like she was saying “FINALLY! IT SURE TOOK YOU LONG ENOUGH!”

We are going to blog it anyway.

Heads up. This blog is about to attract a lot of horse crazy girls with big dreams dressed in boots and helmets.

I hope we get to share our journey and please feel free to share your journey, in whatever it may be, with us too.

Horses happen to be my favorite animals, so giddy up I’d say!
